I have a customer that has a Ragtime West player system in an old upright.  It doesn't have the purple pneumatic cloth on the pneumatics.

The vacuum runs and there's what seems to be plenty of vacuum being generated but nothing plays.  The pneumatic that works is the reroll pneumatic.  I've only made the initial assessment service call.  My next trip I'll be equipped with a vacuum gauge.  I understand these things need more than 20 inches to operate.  I've pulled numerous t/b tubes off of some pneumatics to try and activate them but nothing works.  I tried to isolate or concentrate the generated vacuum to "fewer" subassemblies and that didn't seem to affect anything.  Reroll cut out works great.

Anyone ever experience suction box failures on these things?

I have visited with Ken (at Ragtime West) in the past and I'd like to avoid calling him.

Any experienced techs out there on these things?
