    About a year or so ago someone posted a video of how to repair a peeling hammer head. I'm thinking it was Maggie Jusiel. I'd really like to see it again but I have not been able to find it anywhere. Anyone have a link?

    I don't recall the video but one really good idea was once contributed by John Rhodes, you can see the picture here 

    The strap that goes around the circumference of the hammer is called a "belly band", it's a type of clamp used in steam bending.
