I DID first do a search in the archives, but the most recent discussion is around 2012... something must be different.  I'm looking for this

    • data can be retrieved without removing device from piano
    • can be accessed remotely
    • ideally want one above SB and one underneath, to track Damppchaser effect.

I know that some (like HOBO) required additional software and expense for wifi access.  Do they all?

    Thanks

    David,
Do a search on the internet. There are lots of dataloggers available (because they are important for storing fresh foods, among other things), and many have bluetooth of other remote capabilities. That was true several years ago (last time I looked) and there are undoubtedly many more today.

Search "temperature and humidity data logger wifi" for instance.

I use Govee thermo-hygometer which have a logging feature.
They are quite accurate and surprisingly inexpensive.
Bluetooth enabled so you and access from a phone.

The logs are presented in Excel format and can cover whatever range you set
    for frequency and historical data.

I had the facilities staff come to survey a few spaces in our building and the
were also using them, so there's validation.

I have started having my client put them in their pianos. It dissolves a lot
    of complaints.

Having a logger both above and below the soundboard might be quite
revealing. At the university, we can't use PLS on stage pianos so they
are placed on the console behind the keywell under the piano.

It would be interesting if you could share what you learn from your placement.

Hi David: I've used SensorPush wi-fi humidity/temp data loggers for several years at my institution. They work great and the app is very good.
