    Interesting. Reminds me of the master classes I attended many years ago given by Karl Ulrich Schnabel who made such claims. .

    K. U. Schnabel also wrote an in-depth treatise titled "Modern Technique of the Pedal (A Piano Pedal Study). Published by Edizioni Curci. Jon Nakamatsu was one of his last pupils.
