    Michael,

Just curious...what happened with your pins? Usually they polish up nice. Are they mangled?  If so, can you just turn them upside down?

Both ends were missing the coating and were very rough. Also the bottoms are sharp to a point. I may have to put them back in temporarily. I was trying to do a little extra for my customer. I can't wait on Yamaha 4-6 weeks.
    Thanks

    Greetings,
If I had to replace a set of pin, I would go with the WNG set.  They are usually available, never rust, and the friction is so low that you can let the balance bushings rub and still not register any friction in the key!
    Regards,

Thank so much for the suggestions. My biggest problem is the Yamaha pins are .137 and the WNGs are .146. Any ideas?
    Thanks,

The pins would be the easy part, the bushings and balance rail hole more involved.
You could drill the rail to accept the bigger pin, and then ream all the balance rail holes to accept them.  .009" is a fair amount to simply crush fibers, so reaming instead of burnishing will probably be needed.

Getting originals would probably be better.

WNG sells 2 lengths of "European Standard" 3.5mm (.137") on their website.
