Work experience: Servicing pianos since 1972. All aspects of on-site service for individuals and institutions. Action rebuilding, Regulating, voicing, re-stringing . Shop experience includes soundboard and pin block installation. From 1983 to 1990 I lived in Southern California where I became a guild member and serviced mainly pianos in the home. From 1990 to 2000 I lived in Boulder, Colorado, where I continued to service pianos often generating sales of high-end pianos for local piano dealers. During this period I passed RPT examinations and was chapter president assisting with production of chapter and regional events. I made the acquaintance of Owen Jorgensen, pioneer researcher of historical temperaments who subsequently provided liner notes for my recent recording project The Well-Tempered Clavier of J.S. Bach, forty-eight preludes and fugues played in Thomas Young's well-temperament of 1799. During my five years tenure in Vienna Austria 1978-1983 I grew familiar with various 19th century instruments including Viennese actions and all variations of English actions from the 1830's to the present and received some training at the workshop of Dieter Bergauer, now retired, world- renown for antique piano restoration and original construction.
