I recently tuned for a very nice couple who had a Hallet, Davis Co. spinet. The serial number imprinted on the back is 28724. The customer asked me to verify the year made. In the Pierce Atlas, according to that number, says 1880.... which is SO not true. It's an Aolean spinet, which should put it somewhere in the 40's or 50's.
Any ideas or suggestions?
