Often times when tuning a grand piano, there can be one or two notes that tend to be brighter in sound than their neighbors. That's where this chopstick / single needle voicing tool is extremely handy versus removing the fallboard, key end blocks, pulling the action, voicing the particular note, reinserting the action, replacing the key end blocks, testing the results of that voicing, ad infinitum. However, in the treble sections the pressure bar blocks your view for inserting this great tool between the strings to voice the note in question. So unless you physically look where to insert this tool, it's kind of a guessing game due to the design of the tool because there is a flat area that prevents the tool from passing through without several blind attempts. Hence, the following pics show reducing this flat area to minimize this issue. #2011
