So, I care for a 1977 Yamaha G5 grand. It's in excellent condition. I have an issue with the single string bass strings, #'s My question is, has anybody dealt with this with any success? There is ample space between the bridge and hitch pins. The strings appear to be on the small side, would the next size up help. I'm probably the only person who plays this piano who is fixated on it. It's not as nice as a new C5, but it just feels like it should have a little more heft and clarity for a 6'7" piano. I welcome your thoughts.
