A strap, with one end looped (overhand knot, sewn, whatever) is inserted through the action bracket at the bass tenor break - alternately around the hammer rail in the same place - and the end of the strap is fed through the loop. This attached strap can then be used to assist in pulling the action from the cavity, and in carrying the keyboard and action to a work bench.
