In the class of Bernhard Stopper and Kent Swafford about tuning pure twelfth equal temperament, a new aural sequence approach is presented by Bernhard Stopper. The new sequence uses two stacked fourths and a major sixth, and three stacked fourths and a major third from either side of an initial twelfth. A new equal beating test unique to pure twelfth equal temperament will be described involving a major sixth and major third, with the upper note of the major third one major second (two notes) below the upper note of the major sixth. We use three major sixths and four major thirds from those stacks to construct the usual major third stack; it is easy as only C#4 has to be placed between adjacent thirds to make the proper progression.
