Sheldon Smith, an extraordinary piano tech in the San Francisco chapter, in the 1980s undertook to build his own piano. Though he never finished the project, he did design and cast a plate for a seven – foot grand. He thoroughly photo – documented that endeavor, and his slides are uploaded here.
