I never had any success using this string lifter tool for lifting string coils, or any other purpose for that matter. However yesterday, I discovered a use for this tool when having to replace a broken music wire. By using one of the tips of this tool, it is capable of prying out the bitter end from the tuning pin hole with ease, So I decided to grind the original two tips down into one making this tool act solely as a pry bar rather than using a screwdriver blade and needle-nose pliers for leverage.
