urethane concrete paint and C7

07-22-2012 12:33

The results of a very poor refinishing job on a performing arts center C7. A refinishing committed by an amateur that started as fixing 3 small surface dings and became a total refinishing...sort of. The instrument will now be professionally refinished at the Yamaha dealership in Portland. The piano was 'refinished' 2 days before these photos. Really.

Point of information only, Jeff. It's a good idea to reduce the pics you submit to my.ptg.org to be less than 1MB in size. Otherwise, it takes longer for folks to view your information.

The area around the button on the cheekblock shows what the piano SHOULD look like. But, he wiped it mostly off....as he was swirling thinner on a cloth to 'smooth' the paint. He actually removed most of what he was spraying! A good thing, really. Sort of....kinda.....(sigh).
