I just wanted to give a big thank you to all of you who take part in this blog forum.  Although I don't see the need to comment on everything being discussed, I do read everything. And I usually walk away realizing that I just learned something new. The brilliance of many on this platform is mind boggling.!  After being in this field of work for 45 yrs., and as much as I think I have this work all figured out, here comes someone else with a better mousetrap. I would start listing the names of those who really get my attention, but that listed keeps getting bigger and bigger.  Just want to take a moment and sing the praises to so many of you who are making my life and work that more interesting.  Thank you!

Just before he died at age 86, I asked my dad if he had any regrets. He said no regrets, but, he said, "there is still so much to learn".

As Tom said, even with his experience and age, he learns something new every day. That is why I monitor this list, GPI, and PTI, keep attending chapter meetings, go to as many seminars as possible, and attend the Annual Convention every year.

Yes, thank you, Tom, and everyone else for sharing your knowledge and experience. I've still got so much more to learn.

LOVE THIS TOM!!  I too comment rarely. I don't service pianos .... but having grown up working in a rebuilding shop,  with both mother and father as RPTs and now running Brooks LTD for over 20 years ... I still review these lists .... to stay relevant, to have a better understanding of what challenges our technicians run into on a daily basis,  to find opportunities where needs can be met; and to expand and learn my understanding.

It's one of the true blessings of The Guild, the sharing of ideas, solutions, and better "ways" that continue to push our industry forward ... to all attain our "best".

    #Grateful
