Steven Rosenthal went:
I hope and pray it wasn't 'This Land is Your Land', though it might fit by the end of the night given a shoe horn and enough lubrication.
"…with a nick-nack paddy-whack, give the dog a bone. This old man came rolling home."
The barlines don't fall where the words make you think they might, but it works. And the tune is probably in the Public Domain now, so we get to dodge the royalty fees.

In retiring the business operations of my office, I came up with this slip of paper with lyrics to a PTG "anthem". I'm guessing it's from the Hollywood FLA national convention. (Back in the day - me, in my mid-20s, I attended also ones in NYC, Philadelphia, and Cincinnati: '74, '76 and '78 respectively.)
Does anyone else remember singing this at a Guild convention? Were the lyrics set to an existing melody, or one composed by a member?
