    Hey everyone,
Here's a centerpin Lube and cleaner i came up with after much experimentation. Free to the World ( thanks Peter Grey). In the video you'll see how well it works, and i show you how to make it. Please excuse my non Bob Ross voice.

[A few days back Ethyl A Tate (A.K.A ACE) an amateur pianist and a full time chemist was taking a well deserved NAP one day. She has been deeply troubled lately, because she was noticing that her piano was feeling sluggish and hurting her hands. She woke up suddenly and yelled " I just invented a Centerpin Cleaner!!!!". Although a SILLY dream, she went back into the lab and put together this fantastic product. Thanks Ethyl, for sharing this great discovery from your Silly Nap with the world, and making it free to anyone who wants to use it.]

Silicone and naphtha was the go to juice Wurlitzer used on their tight center pins. It's the Ethyl $%^& that is different. I guess, as per your description, it's the ingredient that cleans the verdigris.

It would be interesting to see how those flanges behave after 3 - 6 months.

Yes, Ethyl acetate is an oxygenated solvent, whereas Naptha is a hydrocarbon solvent. I figured since verigris is oxidized brass, i would try the oxygenated solvents and Ethyl acetate worked the best.
I became aware of the Wurlitzer simliar product just today during my phone call with Peter Grey.
Just Naptha by itself works ok, and adding the silicone improves, but adding the EA made a big improvement.
I've been using this formula for about a year now and the E.S.N. seems to be holding up.
