I am checking into the Fairfield Inn for the convention today and wonder if anyone knows if there is a discount rate for that hotel? When I originally booked that there was no PTG rate.

It is really too bad the price has increased so much. Des Moine was picked specifically because it was the cheapest nationwide convention hotel, other hotels willing to host the PTG were even more of a jump in price. It is amazing how much costs have increased.

The City of Des Moines has a $10 max charge per day for parking, compared to the $30 per day rate at the Hilton. There are several parking garages within walking distance of the convention.

(Edit: Max per day for parking garages only, not on street parking)
