    Hello,

I am looking to pad the bottom of bench legs so they don't scrape across hard floors. I was thinking of gluing leather to the bottom of bench legs as opposed to getting those furniture leg pads...and if I am going to use leather I'd like to know:

What adhesive should I use to join leather to wood for the high pressure, moving contact point on the bottom of bench legs? What experience have others had?

If there is something better than leather glued onto the bottom of bench legs what do you use?

    Thanks

You might try these - look to be a good idea:

But Amazon also sells 3M felt pads that are excellent.  I have used them, and they hold up well with great adhesive.

Felt slides on hardwood better than leather or buckskin, and holds up very well.

I used some extra Wurzen FR punchings on the legs of our kitchen stools several years ago and they've held up wonderfully for several years now.
