Back from Reno.  It's always an energizing experience attending these conferences.  Nice to meet many of you.

For those who attended my classes, thank you for coming.  Class outlines are now available for those who attended (they may not make that much sense if you didn't) so contact me privately if you want one.  For those who have already sent me emails no need, I'll respond.  Prefer that requests come from Piano Technicians only at this point, I don't really want them disseminated to the public at large.  If you have any questions about any info that was presented in the class please contact me by email directly, davidlovepianos@gmail.com

If I Had a Hammer: This class was about making hammer selections)

Throwing Your Weight Around: A touchweight course focusing on sources of inertia (torque really) and a simple way to use that info, along with Excel, to optimize action balancing

Finding Your Own Voice:  A survey of voicing techniques and practices

These are the outlines and do not include the PP slides.

Thanks and hope to see everyone in Des Moines with a slightly refined version, probably.  Each presentation teaches me something!  Isn't that the way it should be?

Thanks Tim for attending. I've submitted proposals for these classes again for Des Moines next year and decided to separate out the building an excel spreadsheet into a separate class in which I invite people to bring their laptops and it will  just be a walk through of building the spread sheet and how to use it.

The classes still need some work on pacing, always a challenge, but I learned a lot about where to tweak that in Reno.

    David,

Thank you for a great class on Voicing Fundamentals: Finding Your Own Voice.  As someone who has only been in piano technology for 6 months, this class gave a wonderful framework to start looking at voicing.  Looking forward to seeing you in Iowa or somewhere else in the next year, as I want to attend your other classes.

    All the best,
