Bio

When I was 12 years old, I knew piano was going to be my work.  I studied with private teachers through high school and then obtained a music degree from Gettysburg College ('07).  After that, a Master of Music in Piano Performance from University of Maryland College Park ('10).  Around this same time, I bought a 1910 Stieff 5' grand to learn basic tuning and repairing skills so that my "learning piano" was not my far superior Yamaha C5. Over the next decade I slowly developed tuning and repairing skills. However, the impetus to take piano technology to the next level was obtaining a large Knabe grand that I am in the process of rebuilding.  While I do not plan on discontinuing teaching, I intend to scale back a little and incorporate piano tuning, repair and possibly rebuilding.
