I have several P22s with a fallboard problem. On both sides of the fallboard, there is a bracket that locks into a pin in the side of the piano.
These brackets have a clip that you rotate towards and grab onto the pin. Recent pianos have a clip that doesn't hold very well, especially in a school environment. I just asked Yamaha for replacement brackets, and they are significantly better.
Scott, if this is the problem it's an easy fix, two screws on each side and you're done.
Good Luck!
Michael

The piano is a P22 and there's a problem with the fallboard. He did give me the customers info, so I guess I can just contact them. I'm probably being paranoid 🙄
Thanks James!

Never heard of him but I have been contacted directly by Yamaha to do work on pianos that are under warranty or to handle repairs when the customer went directly to Yamaha . You can vet him by contacting tech support at Yamaha. what was the problem ? any customer info given ?

Subject: Scam Question
I got an email from a Joey Ruggero at Yamaha regarding a fallboard repair on a P22. I've never gotten an email from Yamaha. The local Yamaha dealer usually contacts me, so I figured it was some sort of scam. Has anyone heard of Joey?
