    This is an invitation to attend the Piano Technicians Guild Southeast Regional Conference, February 22 – 22, 2024, at the Southbank Hotel in Jacksonville, FL.

    Topics for this 3-day conference will include electronic and aural tuning techniques, upright piano care, grand action regulation, hammer hanging, how to give estimates, humidity control, and much, much more. There will also be hands-on training for upright action regulation and repairs, and RPT exams and preps sessions.

    A special one-day class on February 21 with Dean Reyburn on Action Geometry and Replacing Key Frames.

    Piano tuners who are not a member of the PTG will have their $75 application fee paid by the SERC, when you fill out an PTG application at the Conference.

    It's not totally my idea. I had heard about this a long time ago when a seminar I attended offered this. It might have even been a convention. Let's see if anyone "bites".

    Yes it's an "old idea" that eventually faded away (partially due to logistics). I remember Bob Russell Senior offering me the same "deal" at a Cleveland Ohio conference (including a follow-up phone call a few weeks later)! That was in 1978, a year after I attended Robert Perkins' school on the west side of Cleveland. I wasn't "brave enough" then, but did (test and)  join the Boston Chapter a year later.
