I realize I'm late to this discussion (by 20 years), but I just heard about the Wapin bridge. Is this still a thing? What are your experiences with it? Also, the Wapin website appears to be dead.
I'm planning on rebuilding another piano for myself next year-a 1924 Chickering scale 123 (replacing my Yamaha C5)– and I'm wanting to try some new things. I'm intrigued by the Wapin bridge and would like to learn more. Is there any information for rebuilders to try this? I know it has a patent, and there is training involved, but is anyone even doing this training anymore?
