I've used Zap-a-Gap Thin for loose tuning pins.

What else is everyone else using? Why? What pros does it have? Cons?

Thinnest viscosity CA glue with NO KICKER. Just let the couple of drops of CA air dry over time.

What is the best way to apply it on an upright?  I have used it a couple of times on old grands.  Thanks!

What brand of glue are others using? And of the brand, what specific glue?

Also, Patrick, I've heard using syringe and needle on upright is good (don't make a mess). And that way the piano doesn't need to be tilted back.

On an upright I've tilted the instrument back. One really wants to flood that space between pin and wood

    Best wishes

I use Loctite 493. I use Loctite adhesives because they print the manufacture date on their products. CA adhesives have an effective shelf life -- about a year.

To use it on an upright without tilting it, be sure to NOT use a thin viscosity. I use just a plain medium viscosity and apply at the 12 o'clock position, carefully. It will wick into the bushing and be very effective. At least it always has been for me, and I use it a lot. If you're worried about dripping down the plate, just have some Q-Tips to wipe it away. Although even if it does drip down the plate it won't do any harm.
