At the convention this year there will be a fun event sponsored by the Foundation. We're going to have an action assembly contest where contestants will be asked to attach the hammer butt assembly and damper on the action rail and install the key. The winners will get a cash prize.
But we've run into a slight problem. We were going to use upright action models from the HO, but the only ones they have are action models with aluminum rails. This project requires an action model with a wood rail.
That is why I'm reaching out to our members for help. Are there any chapters or individual members with a three-note upright action model with a wood action rail who would be willing to let us use it at the convention? If you're not going to the convention, we'll figure out a way to get the action model to Des Moines.
