Greg Cheng graduated from West Chester University with degrees in Music Performance and Computer Science. Tuning pianos since he was a teenager, Greg worked through college apprenticing under Stephen Prentice RPT, the Head Technician of West Chester University. During Greg's tenure at the university, he learned and refined his skills in aural tuning, repairs, and action rebuilding. Immediately after graduating college in 2004, Greg joined the South Eastern Pennsylvania (SEPA) Chapter of the Piano Technicians Guild. In 2005, Greg was awarded the Registered Piano Technician (RPT) status.
Greg is the General Manager, Chief Technician and Instructor for Allied Piano & Finish LLC. Along with servicing in home customers, concert venues, and universities, Greg also specializes in modern player piano repair, action rebuilding, touch weight analysis, and polyester/lacquer furniture repair.
