Randy Chastain, learned the trade of piano technician at a school in Chicago before getting her degree in music and education from Northeastern Illinois University in 1984.
She is the Treasurer of the San Francisco Piano Technician's Guild, retired member of the Board of Directors of the United States Open Music Competition, one of the largest open children's piano competitions in the U.S., member of the Berkeley Piano Club, one of the women only clubs remaining in the U.S. founded in 1893, and sings with The Choral Project out of San Jose, California.
Working for the largest Yamaha/Bosendorfer dealer in the San Francisco Bay Area, Steinway and the local Schimmel dealer keeps her very busy.
