Thank you for the very detailed explanation. I may just go for it 👍
I'm doing it free for practice with regulating, so if I need to do it over and fix it, they are aware that is a possibility.
Thanks again, Wim! Also I was just out with Phil on Oahu, I hope retirement is treating you well! I really appreciate you taking time to help me out 🙏

Start with a hammer blow distance of 1 3/4" and a dip of 3/8". Everything else is related to that.
Before you remove the action, raise the end hammers in each section to 1 3/4". With the action on your work bench or table, make all the hammers the same height by eye balling them or using a stick across each section. Then make them let off at 1/16" and drop at 1/8". before you adjust the repetition springs, make sure all the hammers check at about the same height, preferably at 5/8".
Before putting the action in the piano, level all the white keys. The raise the sharps to 1/2" above the white keys. If you had to add a lot of punchings to level the keys, you'll have to level the hammers again.
Put the action back in the piano, and visually check the hammer blow, let off and drop on each key.
It's not as hard as it sounds. (unless someone else had completely destroyed all the adjustments)
Good luck
Wim

Hello! I have a client who wants some regulation work done. However, I can't find any specs anywhere, and I'm not comfortable at this point starting from scratch. Does anyone have these or know where I might be able to find them?
