My machinist friend can and has made custom agraffes. Since these are not the most economic items he makes, it is hit or miss whether he's willing and what timeline, but I thought I'd throw out there. I believe the last ones he made were for an old Blüthner. If I recall correctly, the tech had to drill the holes for the strings, but I could be wrong on that one.

I went to a local place and said I order 1k, figuring a bigger order would bring the price down. $16.00 piece! That ended that!

A long time ago I had a Mahlin grand with agraffs with rollers. I took it to a metal shop and the owner retapped all of the holes. He did it mostly as a challenge for himself and a personal favor, wanting a new and different project.

Good day, fellow techs. I have a circa 1895 Henry F Miller, a 7 footer, its a decent piano and the customer is very attached to it. A couple of the agraffs have let go and they are not a size that can be ordered. Has anybody have any thoughts about who might have some old HFM agraffs tucked away in some dusty corner of their shop. I'm using modern agraffs for replacements, but the string is so much higher and it requires whole bunches of adjustments to work. I'm at your mercies.
