Positive for Covid

Hello All. Very sorry to have to share this, but I want to get the word out ASAP. I tested positive for Covid just now, 7/31/23. Perhaps it ended up being a good thing that I stayed on the exam floor for most of the convention. Still, everyone may want to test in the next couple days just to be on the safe side. Covid was obviously at the convention. Hope most of you are spared! 🙏

I have just come up positive as well (7/31), and had a sore throat by Friday evening (7/28).  Unfortunately I was not isolated in the exam room, so I will have been much more of a spreader. Hope everyone stays healthy, and please accept my apologies for not getting a test sooner.

I also tested positive today (the 31st). I had mild symptoms on the 30th, but thought it was just plain old exhaustion. My symptons contintue to by very mild today.

I came down with it as well. As did my wife.

Fortunately we have both been vaccinated and boosted and got early treatment so the symptoms have been relatively mild.

So sorry to hear that. Despite that, you still gave an excellent speech at the banquet. I don't know if anyone told you, but you got a 5 minute standing ovation at the end. Well deserved, my friend, and congratulations, again.

My wife had to go get a new test, the one we had expired 13 months ago.  I tested Negative.  Bill Davis tested positive and has gotten treatment, he is home , isolated upstairs.  Sorry to hear so many have tested positive :(  I wish you all speedy recovery and mild symptoms!

I know Maggie breathed on me in the exam office, but I evidently escaped contamination as my PCR test came back negative.  Yay! 😃

I had encounters with about everyone who commented.

Took a rapid antigen test on Tuesday 8/1 - negative.

Took another one just now (8/3) - negative.

Guess taking all the echinacea, goldenseal, colloidal silver and other supplements

has paid off. Can't remember the last time I was actually sick.

Oh, and probably getting the vaccine/boosters helped, but my understanding is

it doesn't prevent, only minimizes symptoms.

I was moved by the long standing ovation Del got at the banquet. I really

enjoy his anecdotal stories. Congratulations Del. Don't know why it hasn't come

    to you sooner.

Sorry Peter! Really nice to meet you, though! I'm not sure when I was exposed but I'm pretty sure I wasn't contagious when we were in contact. I think I wasn't contagious until Sunday. My hubby is still testing negative and we were in contact on Sunday. Several people who were in contact with me Saturday are also testing negative. Grateful for that. It's hard to know since we don't know who the carriers were, and I doubt they even know. Some of them may have even been asymptomatic. (Assuming it is likely there was more than one.)

Dave - very glad you were spared! My zinc was definitely not enough! LOL

Del - So sorry for those of you who got hit. Hoping for a full recovery! 🙏

I had to leave the convention on Saturday afternoon. Wound up stuck at DCA for 3.5 hours with hundreds of travelers due to storms in the area. I was not feeling well by the time I arrived in Austin. Woke up Sunday and tested positive. Finally starting to feel better!

I should also mention I just spoke on the phone with Jim Geiger. He has also tested positive.

    Take care and be well!!

Maggie, I was in a group of folks talking to you and I was around other people had it and even shook their hands with them.. One gentleman from Clearwater got Covid and is feeling rather miserable.  I had been taking grapefruit seed extract pills in the days leading up to the convention and also during the convention and afterwards.  Also, vaxxed with everything available.  Still negative as of 8/4.  I hope you and everyone else who contracted it are starting to feel better.
